KlikFiks 3D Installation Guide

If the KlikFiks is already clicked together, use a thin flathead screwdriver to separate the two parts. Insert the screwdriver into the four slots and gently pry them apart. Start with the slots near the notch.(white arrow)

Step 1 — Attaching the Glass Support

1. Degrease the glass and the support carefully.

2. Bond the glass support using a 2-component epoxy adhesive, preferably Loctite 3430 for high end work or WIKO for normal work. These adhesives does not discolour over time. Wear gloves!

3. Apply the adhesive with a rotating motion to prevent air bubbles from forming between the resin and the support.

Step 3 – Apply adhesive with rotating motion

4. Allow the adhesive to cure for a minimum of 24 hours before proceeding.

Step 4 – Support bonded to glass, curing

Step 2 — Attaching the Wall Support

5. Apply the double-sided tape to the part that will contact the wall.

6. Slide the two supports slightly into each other — as shown in the photo — making sure they do not yet click into place. Repeat this for all KlikFiks supports.

Step 5 – Apply double-sided tape

7. Press the artwork against the wall in the desired position so that the double-sided tape bonds firmly and the wall support adheres to the wall.

Step 6 – Slide supports together without clicking

8. Carefully pull the artwork away from the wall — the wall support will now remain fixed to the wall.

Step 7 – Press artwork against wall

9. Mark the screw holes precisely using a thin pencil or pen refill.

Step 8 – Mark holes, drill and screw support into wall

10. Drill the holes if necessary and insert the wall plugs.

Step 9 – Click artwork onto wall support

11. Screw the support gently but firmly into the wall.

Step 10 – Multiple supports for larger artwork

Step 3 — Hanging the Artwork

12. Once all steps have been completed correctly, you can simply click the artwork onto the wall support.

Use 1 KlikFiks per 0.5 kg of artwork weight. If the piece is large or if the support is not glued at the centre of the work, use additional supports.
Example: 3 supports for a piece weighing 1,260 grams.

Step 1 – Degrease the glass and support

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about KlikFiks and KlikFiks Mini.

1. What is KlikFiks?

KlikFiks is an invisible mounting system designed for glass art, ceramics, wall decor, and lightweight panels. It allows you to hang artwork cleanly and securely while keeping the mounting hardware hidden from view.

2. What is the difference between KlikFiks and KlikFiks Mini?

KlikFiks is the standard version for medium-sized artworks and layered installations. KlikFiks Mini is a smaller version for lightweight items, small decorations, ornaments, and delicate projects where a discreet mount is preferred.

3. Which size is most commonly used?

The 16mm is the most popular size. It creates a balanced distance from the wall, allowing light to pass behind the artwork and enhancing the overall visual effect.

4. How much weight can KlikFiks hold?

  • KlikFiks 8mm: up to 0.3 kg (0.66 lbs) per piece
  • KlikFiks 16mm / 24mm / 32mm / 40mm: up to 0.5 kg (1.1 lbs) per piece
  • KlikFiks Mini: up to 100 g (0.22 lbs) per piece

For heavier or larger artwork, simply use multiple KlikFiks units.

5. How do I install KlikFiks?

One part is glued to the back of the artwork, and the second part is screwed to the wall. Once mounted, the two parts click together for a secure and invisible connection.

6. Which glue should I use?

We recommend a strong two-component epoxy adhesive suitable for glass, ceramic, metal, or acrylic surfaces. Always clean and degrease the surface before gluing for the best bond.

7. Can I use KlikFiks for layered glass art?

Yes. KlikFiks is ideal for layered wall art. The different heights (8mm, 16mm, 24mm, 32mm, 40mm) allow you to create depth and overlap multiple glass layers beautifully.

8. Can KlikFiks be removed from the wall?

Yes. The wall-mounted part can be unscrewed easily. If you wish to remove the KlikFiks from the glass, use water pump pliers and make a slow twisting motion. Please be extremely careful — this is done entirely at your own risk.

9. Which surfaces can KlikFiks be mounted on?

KlikFiks can be installed on most solid wall surfaces such as wood, plaster, brick, concrete, and panels. Always use suitable screws and wall plugs for your wall type.

10. My artwork is larger than the recommended size. What should I do?

Use multiple KlikFiks units to distribute the weight evenly. This provides extra support and helps keep the artwork level and secure.

11. Is KlikFiks visible after installation?

No. KlikFiks is designed to stay hidden behind the artwork, creating a clean floating effect that keeps the attention on the art itself.
